Otters Hold Hands While They Sleep

When sea otters rest on the water, they often hold paws with a neighbor. The chain of linked otters is sometimes called a raft.

Holding on keeps the group together while waves gently rock them. It is teamwork and friendship at the same time.

Watching a raft of otters is a reminder that animals look out for one another in clever, tender ways.
