📖 True Story
Hachiko Waited at the Station
A loyal Akita in Tokyo met his person at the train every day.
Hachiko was an Akita dog who lived in Tokyo. Each afternoon he walked to the train station to greet his person after work.
Even after his person no longer returned on the train, Hachiko kept the appointment. Station workers and neighbors noticed the faithful dog and cared for him.
Today a statue at the station reminds visitors of patience, loyalty, and the deep bond people share with animals.
