City Opens Rooftop Bee Garden

Volunteers planted blooms high above the street to feed local pollinators.

A downtown building turned its roof into a bright garden full of bee-friendly flowers. Signs teach visitors which blooms bees love most.

School groups visit on field trips to watch bees work and to plant seedlings. The garden is free on weekends.

Neighbors say the roof hums softly in summer, a tiny wild place above the busy sidewalks.
